Documentary project: diving and filming alongside Matthew Formston, an Australian multi-sport athlete, Guinness World Record Holder, and Paralympian.
We'll be sharing a cute three-bedroom cottage by the sea on the island of 'Eua, with all catering included. Nestled along the waterfront of 'Ohonua village, Stay Tonga is conveniently located near the ferry dock and ‘Ufilei Beach. The campground offers an authentic getaway in nature with a communal kitchen, hot showers, and shared facilities.
This will be an intimate group expedition for maximum enjoyment and wonderfully peaceful experiences for us and the whales.
'Eua is the closest island to the Tonga Trench; a deep oceanic trench lapping with warm, safe, tropical waters where Humpback whales breed and birth their calves. We are the only boat operating in this area and our trips are guided by a local Captain.

Itinerary
Arrive on the wild and wonderful island of ‘Eua and settle in. Potential fun dive on the local reef - home to vibrant corals, over 1,500 species of fish, and the occasional visiting whale.
Days 2 - 5
All about the whales! Each day we'll be befriending whales, diving caves, playing in the corals, and soaking up a full-blown island immersion. Returning home for sunsets and bonfires and dinners.
Day 6 – Morning Swim + Departure
We’ll either make the most of our final hours with a morning boat session or a fun dive on the reef. Then it's time to farewell Eua and fly onwards.
