How do you offer courses, trips and liveaboards around the world?

The diving world is huge, but the community is actually pretty tight-knit - and we use that to our advantage!We partner with trusted experts around the globe to bring you the best experiences.Before we partner with any operators, we do our homework; checking their quality of experiences, certifications, reviews, vibes, and ensure they treat both their guests and the ocean with respect.Plus, we personally hop in the water with them whenever we can. If we wouldn't dive with them ourselves, we wouldn't partner with them.

What are the "Responsible Travel" expectations for divers?

Divers are expected to minimize their environmental impact, follow the advice of dive operators, and abide by all national and marine park regulations. This includes respecting local customs, adhering to dress standards, and requesting permission before taking photographs of locals.'Read more here.

What is the "Marine Life Policy"?

Travelers are strictly prohibited from touching, feeding, or harassing marine life. Damaging coral or taking "souvenirs" (like shells or coral) from the ocean can result in being banned from future dives with no refunds.

Are there any activities that are prohibited?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Dive Bookings and its Partners enforce a zero-tolerance policy toward "no limits" freediving and any activities deemed unsafe by government or foreign affairs offices.

What are my responsibilities regarding local customs?

Travelers are expected to respect local cultures, etiquette, and religious sites. This includes adhering to appropriate dress standards and requesting permission before taking photographs of locals.

Is this dive available?

All the dives listed on our website are available. We do give our Partners 24 hours to confirm your booking.  After receiving a booking transaction confirmation from Dive Bookings, Travellers are advised to make the neccessary travel plans.

Is my booking confirmed automatically?

Hang tight! Our partners usually confirm your dive within 24 hours.Keep an eye on your inbox—once it's all set, we’ll send you a confirmation email. We recommend waiting until you have that email in hand before booking your flights and accommodation.

I never received my booking confirmation?

Fear not! Simply log into your account or send us a message here so we can check your booking status.

My booking is cancelled. What happened?

So sorry to hear that. Your dive might be underwater or on the boat and was not able to confirm your dive within our 24-hour window. Fear not, reach out to us and we'll get in touch with our partners for you.

Are there any transaction fees?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Standard Stripe transaction fees apply: 1.75% for domestic payments and 3.5% for international payments.

Can the dive center change the itinerary or vessel?

Accepted Answer

Yes. In cases of emergency maintenance or venue changes, Partners reserve the right to use different vessels or locations of similar quality. Dive Bookings is not responsible for these variations.

Can my booking be cancelled for providing wrong information?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Providing misleading booking information may result in a non-refundable cancellation of your booking.

Can I book if I am under 18

Accepted Answer

Travelers under the age of 18 must have their indemnity and booking forms signed by a parent or legal guardian.

What is a "Force Majeure" event?

These are "acts of God" or unforeseen circumstances (like extreme weather or global emergencies) that are outside of anyone's control. In these events, Partner policies regarding rescheduling or refunds may change to adapt to the situation.

Can I leave a review of my experience?

Yes! Dive Bookings encourages travelers to leave honest reviews. By doing so, you agree that your comments and photos may be used on the platform to help other divers make informed decisions.

What if I need to update my itinerary at the last minute?

Accepted Answer

Partners reserve the right to change vessels or venues for maintenance or emergency reasons, provided the substitute is of similar quality. Dive Bookings acts as the communication bridge but is not liable for these operational changes.

What is "Join the Waitlist"?

Accepted Answer

Dives with "Join the Waitlist" are fully booked as of the moment. However, our Partners may be able to accommodate more Travellers especially if there are cancellations from other booked divers. Please make sure to secure your booking confirmation first before making any travel plans.

Question 20

What is the standard cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

You may cancel free of charge within 14 days of making the booking, provided the cancellation occurs more than 30 days before the scheduled start date.

Can I transfer my booking to someone else?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You may transfer your booking to an equally qualified replacement diver up to 30 days prior to the dive, subject to them meeting all certification and safety requirements.

Are there refunds for "no-shows"?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately, no. Failure to arrive on time or a "no-show" on the day of the dive results in a total forfeiture of the booking fee.

What if the Partner cancels the dive?

Accepted Answer

If the pros have to call it off due to weather or safety, you’re entitled to a reschedule or a refund (minus the small transaction fees). Safety first, always!

Question 24

What happens if I need to cancel after the 14-day grace period?

Accepted Answer

After the 14-day window, bookings become non-refundable. However, you may transfer your booking to an equally qualified replacement diver up to 30 days before the dive, subject to the Partner’s safety and certification requirements.
