What to Expect

Scuba Basics: Receive a brief, easy-to-understand briefing on essential scuba safety rules and how your dive equipment works.
Gear Fitting: Get fitted with a mask, fins, tank, buoyancy compensator (BCD), and regulator.
First Breaths Underwater: Take your very first breaths below the surface and experience the unique feeling of weightlessness.
Fun In-Water Skills: Practice basic pool skills like swimming with fins, equalizing your ears, and controlling your buoyancy while playing games or swimming around the pool.

Itinerary

9:00 – 9:15 | Welcome & Equipment Setup

Meet your SSI instructor at the pool facility, turn in completed forms, and receive a short safety briefing covering underwater breathing, ear equalization, and basic hand signals.
Get fitted for your provided scuba equipment and learn how the gear functions.

9:15 – 9:50 | Pool Practice & First Breaths Underwater

Enter the shallow end of the swimming pool with your instructor to take your first breaths underwater in a calm, controlled environment.
Practice floating, swimming with fins, and basic underwater comfort exercises.

9:50 – 10:00 | Debrief & SSI Recognition

Exit the pool, rinse off, and receive feedback from your instructor.
Complete your registration to receive your digital SSI Try Scuba Recognition Rating.

Suitable for non-certified divers ages 10 (with Parental Consent) and above. No prior diving experience necessary but must have at least basic swimming ability.

Not suitable for pregnant women or anyone that has a history of certain medical conditions (especially those affecting the respiratory, circulatory, or nervous systems—e.g., severe asthma, epilepsy, recent major surgery, or heart conditions)

A completed Medical Statement is required. If any "Yes" answers are marked, a physician's written clearance is mandatory.
