Kickstart your ocean journey by getting coaching on spearfishing and freediving to bring you up levels in your spearo ability. Ideal for those with little to no experience and those who have gaps in their knowledge and skills!

During multiple dry practical and theory sessions, a pool session and multiple ocean dives, we'll cover the physiology of depth, breathholding, equalisation, handling equipment, safety protocols, and of course spearfishing skills and hunting techniques to make you a proficient underwater hunter gatherer with an expansive knowledge of how your equipment works.

This course covers basic freediving essential knowledge and skills, and then includes dry theory and ocean sessions focussing on spearfishing:

I recently did the spearo/level 1 course with Freedive Tasmania and it was excellent. Kaeo is a great instructor, he has an in depth knowledge in both freediving and spearfishing. He's passionate about developing his students abilities and was great at sharing his experience. He was able to answer all questions and help me through some challenges I had.. I highly recommend doing one of the courses on offer.

I did not just have a really awesome time in the ocean during my spearfishing course, i learned so much about gear and also equalisation. I highly recommend taking a course. I will come back again.

Kaeo and Nathan are by far 2 of the most incredible instructors and just down right caring humans i've ever met. Although I have some major fears around diving, the ocean, etc they have slowly introduced me to the underwater world, never pushing me more than I'm capable of doing. I've now done the Padi freedive 1 and freedive retreat and both were excellent. I would highly recommend to anyone interested. I hope to continue training and diving with them to get better over time.
