Designed to be taken right after your Open Water certification, this course focuses on building real-world experience, practical skills, and underwater navigation without heavy classroom study.
Training in the calm, uncrowded waters around Tablas Island allows you to gain confidence across 5 distinct Adventure Dives under the direct guidance and mentorship of certified PADI instructors.
What You Will Learn & Practice
- Deep Diving: Extend your depth limits up to 30 meters (100 feet), learning depth management, gas planning, and physiological effects like nitrogen narcosis.
- Underwater Navigation: Master compass use, visual landmark tracking, kick cycles, and distance estimation to navigate reefs confidently.
- Choice of 3 Specialty Adventure Dives: Customize your remaining 3 dives based on your interests, such as:
- Peak Performance Buoyancy: Perfect your trim, weighting, and body positioning for effortless gliding.
- Night Diving: Experience nocturnal marine life, underwater communication, and torch handling after dark.
- Wreck Diving / Drift Diving / Fish Identification: Tailored to local dive site conditions around Romblon.

Phase 1: Digital E-Learning (Prior to Arrival)
- Complete the online PADI Advanced Open Water Diver e-Learning modules and knowledge reviews for the 5 selected Adventure Dives.
Day 1: Orientation, Buoyancy & Navigation Dives
- 08:00 AM – Orientation & Gear Assembly
Meet your instructor at Pili Beach, review theory knowledge reviews, check equipment, and brief for the day's dives. - 09:30 AM – Adventure Dive 1: Peak Performance Buoyancy
Practice hover position, fine-tuning trim, weight adjustments, and streamlined kicking techniques. - 11:30 AM – Surface Interval & Debriefing
- 01:00 PM – Adventure Dive 2: Underwater Navigation (Core Dive)
Master compass navigation skills, kick-cycle distance estimation, square/reciprocal search patterns, and natural landmark orientation. - 03:00 PM – Debriefing & Night Dive Preparation
- 06:00 PM – Adventure Dive 3: Night Diving (Elective)
Execute a dusk/night entry to practice light signals, nocturnal marine life spotting, and nighttime navigation techniques.
Day 2: Deep Diving & Specialty Exploration
- 08:30 AM – Deep Dive Safety Briefing
Review turn pressures, gas consumption, pressure effects at depth, and safety stop protocols. - 09:30 AM – Adventure Dive 4: Deep Diver (Core Dive - Max 30m / 100ft)
Experience depth effects, track gas consumption, observe color changes underwater, and execute a 3-minute safety stop at 5 meters. - 12:00 PM – Lunch Break & Surface Interval
- 01:30 PM – Adventure Dive 5: Wreck / Drift / Fish ID (Elective)
Execute your final elective adventure dive focusing on environmental observation, drift techniques, or structural exploration. - 03:30 PM – Gear Rinse & Certification Finalization
Clean gear, log your 5 adventure dives with your instructor, and process your official PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification.
