Course Structure & Adaptive Training
- Adapted Knowledge Development: Complete dive theory covering dive physics, physiology, equipment, and safety through flexible learning formats designed for diverse learning styles.
- Confined Water (Pool) Skills: Learn and refine essential scuba skills including mask clearing, regulator recovery, buoyancy control, and emergency procedures customized to your individual mobility and strength.
- Open Water Dives: Complete four open water training dives to apply your skills in real-world conditions, demonstrating mastery of safety procedures and controlled buoyancy.

Itinerary
- Phase 1: Academic Theory & Sensitivity Workshop
- Morning: Classroom seminar covering various physical disabilities (amputation, spinal injuries, vision impairments), psychological factors, legal/liability aspects, and adaptive equipment setups.
- Learn proper physical assistance techniques, respectful communication, and how to evaluate environmental conditions for accessibility.
- Phase 2: Confined Water Skill Mastery (Pool Workshop)
- Afternoon: Head to the pool to practice surface and underwater transfer procedures, blind/sighted-guide techniques, and buoyancy adjustments for divers with mobility challenges.
- Role-play exercises: Experience simulated mobility restrictions to build empathy and refine handling methods.
- Phase 3: Open Water Evaluation & Scenario Dives
- Day 2 / 3: Execute real-world scenario dives in open water (ocean or dive lake).
- Practice guiding an adaptive diver, managing entry/exit from boats or shore, executing out-of-air scenarios, and performing towing and surface assistance.
- Complete final debriefing, logbook verification, and process your official Scubility Dive Buddy certification.
