Seven days and six nights from Sorong, reaching Raja Ampat's far north at Wayag and coming back through the Dampier Strait. The trip opens at Kri, where Cape Kri, Blue Magic and Sardine Reef sit close together, and continues to Gam Island for mantas at Manta Sandy and a dawn walk to look for the red bird-of-paradise. The middle of the week covers Wayag's karst islands, Figure Eight Rock and the climb up Mount Pindito, Aljui Bay and The Passage on Waigeo, the coral of Melissa's Garden at Penemu, and the jetties of Yenbuba and Sauwandarek off Mansuar. Expect 16 dives with land trips and village visits between them.
Raja Ampat is steep green islands and water so full of life that a single coral head can hold you for a whole dive. You hang at the edge of a reef while fusiliers stream past in sheets, then sink to the sand and find the bottom itself moving: a crab, a goby, a pipefish you nearly missed. Between dives the boat noses through channels where the forest comes down to the waterline, and the only sounds are birds and the engine. By the end of the week your logbook is full of names you had never heard of, and you are already planning which ones to see again.

Itinerary
Itinerary
Day 1: Sorong and Kri.
- Transfer from the airport and board in Sorong, then sail to Kri in the Dampier Strait for the first dives at sites such as Cape Kri, Blue Magic and Sardine Reef.
Day 2: Gam Island.
- Dive Gam's reefs and look for mantas at Manta Sandy. Before sunrise, walk into the forest to watch for the red bird-of-paradise.
Days 3 to 6: Wayag, Waigeo and Piaynemo.
- Cruise north to Wayag's karst islands, dive Figure Eight Rock and climb Mount Pindito.
- On Waigeo, dive The Passage in Aljui Bay and visit the Atlas South Sea Pearl Farm in Sel Pele Bay.
- Stop at Piaynemo and dive Melissa's Garden at Penemu, then finish at Mansuar with dives under the Yenbuba and Sauwandarek jetties and a village visit.
Day 7: Disembark in Sorong.
- Return to Sorong and transfer to the airport.

Requirements
- Certification: Open Water Diver, or an equivalent from another agency, is required.
- Age: you must be 16 or older. Divers under 18 need parental consent.
- Recent experience: if you have not dived in the last 12 months, you must complete a refresher before the trip.
- Medical: you must complete a diver medical statement. Any "yes" answer requires a doctor's written clearance.
- Health: this trip is not suitable during pregnancy, or with a history of conditions affecting breathing, circulation or the nervous system, such as severe asthma, epilepsy, heart conditions or recent major surgery.
- Flights: international and domestic flights to Sorong are not included.
