Eight days and seven nights out of Sorong and back, through the central and northern islands of Raja Ampat. The Dampier Strait comes first, with Cape Kri, Sardine Reef and Chicken Reef, the manta cleaning stations of Manta Sandy and Manta Cove, and the jetties at Yenbuba, Sawandarek and Arborek. Further north the route takes in Melissa's Garden and the Penemu lookout, then Waigeo, where a jungle walk leads to Kali Biru, the Blue River. Plan on up to four dives a day, with guided night dives, kayaking in the Yangefo mangroves and village visits along the way.
This is the side of Raja Ampat where the water never seems to empty. A reef in the Dampier Strait can hold more fish than you can follow, and the current that brings them in also keeps the coral fed and bright. Under the jetties the light comes down in stripes through the planks, catching batfish and the open mouths of giant clams. Between dives you trade fins for a kayak paddle or hiking boots, and the green of the mangroves and the jungle starts to feel as much a part of the trip as the blue.

Day 1: Board in Sorong.
- Transfer from the airport or your hotel and board the boat.
Days 2 to 7: Central and Northern Raja Ampat.
- Dive the Dampier Strait at Cape Kri, Sardine Reef and Chicken Reef, and wait for mantas at Manta Sandy and Manta Cove.
- Dive the jetties at Yenbuba, Sawandarek and Arborek and visit the villages beside them.
- Head north to Melissa's Garden and the Penemu lookout, kayak the Yangefo mangroves, and trek to Kali Biru on Waigeo.
- Guided night dives are part of the plan.
Day 8: Disembark in Sorong.
- Transfer to the airport or your hotel.

Requirements
- Certification: Advanced Open Water Diver, or an equivalent from another agency, is required.
- Age: You must be 16 or older.
- Recent experience: If you have not dived in the last 12 months, you must complete a refresher before the trip.
- Medical: You must complete a diver medical statement. Any ""yes"" answer requires a doctor's written clearance.
- Health: This trip is not suitable during pregnancy or for guests with conditions affecting breathing, circulation, or the nervous system, such as severe asthma, epilepsy, heart conditions, or recent major surgery.
- Nitrox: Included only for certified Nitrox divers. Nitrox is listed at USD 120 per trip in the optional extras, so confirm whether this applies to certified divers only or is an additional charge.
