Course Structure & Learning Phases
- Phase 1: Knowledge Development (PADI eLearning)
- Complete interactive theory modules at your own pace before arrival, learning essential dive physics, safety rules, environmental awareness, and equipment management.
- Phase 2: Confined Water (Pool Training)
- Master critical safety skills and buoyancy control in a calm pool environment under the direct supervision of an experienced PADI Instructor.
- Phase 3: Open Water Dives
- Apply your training during ocean boat dives off Rainbow Beach, honing your buoyancy, navigating underwater, and exploring vibrant local marine life.

Itinerary
- Phase 1: Digital Theory (Prior to In-Person Training)
- Complete all PADI e-Learning theory modules, knowledge reviews, and quizzes independently online before arriving at the dive shop.
- Day 1: Orientation, Equipment Fitting & Pool Training
- Morning: Meet at the Rainbow Beach shop for registration, equipment sizing, and a quick theory review with your instructor.
- Afternoon: Head to the pool for confined water training. Master essential safety skills including regulator recovery, mask clearing, emergency air-sharing, and buoyancy control.
- Day 2: Open Water Ocean Dives 1 & 2 (Wolf Rock)
- Morning / Mid-day: Board the dive boat for your first offshore trip to Wolf Rock Marine Park.
- Afternoon: Execute Ocean Dives 1 and 2 (maximum depth 12 meters), demonstrating core pool skills in the ocean while exploring Wolf Rock's marine life.
- Day 3: Open Water Ocean Dives 3 & 4 (Wolf Rock) & Certification
- Morning / Mid-day: Return to Wolf Rock for Ocean Dives 3 and 4, increasing depth up to 18 meters while refining underwater navigation and neutral buoyancy.
- Afternoon: Return to shore, rinse and store gear, complete logbooks, and receive your official PADI Open Water Diver certification.
