Open up the underwater world with the SDI Scubility Snorkeling Course! Specially adapted for individuals with physical or mental disabilities, this program builds aquatic confidence and essential water skills in a safe, supportive, and controlled environment.
Participants learn to comfortably explore marine life near the surface using adaptive equipment techniques and personalized assistance.
What You Will Learn & Practice
- Equipment Adaptation & Donning: Learn to prepare, fit, and use masks, snorkels, fins, or webbed gloves tailored to individual mobility needs.
- Buoyancy & Surface Control: Master neutral buoyancy and comfort using specialized snorkeling vests or BCDs.
- Water Skills & Breathing: Practice proper snorkel clearing, breathing techniques, surface swimming, and hand signals.
- Safe Entries & Exits: Learn smooth, assisted water entries and exits from both shore and boat environments.

Itinerary
Itinerary
- 9:00 – 9:45 | Arrival, Orientation & Medical Check
- Meet your Scubility instructor and dive buddies at the facility.
- Review adaptive needs, safety procedures, signal communication, and fit tailored snorkeling equipment.
- 9:45 – 11:00 | In-Water Practice & Skill Development
- Enter the pool or calm confined water area with 1-on-1 or dedicated team support.
- Practice finning techniques, floating/buoyancy adjustments, mask clearing, and comfortable surface breathing through the snorkel.
- 11:00 – 11:30 | Debrief & Recognition
- Exit the water with staff assistance, debrief on achievements, rinse equipment, and receive your Scubility Snorkeling recognition.
