Experience the thrill of scuba diving under the direct supervision of a certified PADI instructor! This internationally recognized program allows you to take your very first breath underwater and explore the incredible marine life of Moalboal.

Perfect for absolute beginners, this entry-level experience requires no prior diving experience. You will learn the fundamentals of scuba safety in a comfortable environment before heading out to the beautiful house reef. There, you will glide along the vibrant coral drop-offs of Panagsama Beach, swimming alongside wild sea turtles and witnessing Moalboal's world-famous silver storm of millions of synchronized sardines. While this is not a full certification, you can use it as credit towards a PADI Open Water Course in the future.

Itinerary

The entire introductory program spans approximately 3 to 4 hours and can be booked as a morning or afternoon session.

08:30 AM / 01:00 PM – Check-In & Personalized Briefing:
Arrive at the Panagsama Beach facility. Fill out your safety registration and medical forms. Sit down with your instructor for an engaging, easy-to-understand briefing on how scuba equipment works, basic underwater hand signals, and essential safety guidelines.
09:15 AM / 01:45 PM – Shallow Water Skill Session (Pool or Shallows):
Get fitted into a customized scuba equipment set. Step into a shallow swimming pool where you can comfortably stand up at any time. Take your very first breaths underwater, get used to the equipment, and practice three simple, essential safety skills: clearing water out of your regulator, recovering a dropped regulator, and clearing water from your mask.
10:15 AM / 02:45 PM – The Open Water Ocean Dive:
Walk exactly one minute from the dive shop down to the shoreline for an easy wade-in entry. Swim over the shallow reef flats and glide past the vertical wall drop-off down to a safe, comfortable maximum depth of 12 meters (40 feet). Enjoy 45 minutes of weightless exploration while your instructor stays right by your side to handle your buoyancy controls.
11:00 AM / 03:30 PM – Marine Encounters:
Experience the magic of Moalboal’s ecosystem. Float alongside massive, relaxed green sea turtles grazing on the sea grass and dive right next to the massive, swirling bait balls of millions of sardines.
11:15 AM / 03:45 PM – Debrief & Logbooks:
Exit the water, rinse off at the facility shower bays, and sit down with your instructor to review what you saw. Debrief your experience, log your first official dive metrics, and find out how this experience can count as credit toward your full Open Water Diver license!
