SSI Advanced Open Water Diver Course in Maldives

Ready to take your underwater exploration to the next level? The SSI Advanced Open Water Diver course is designed to build your confidence, expand your skills, and open up exciting new diving environments.

Unlike other entry courses, there are no classroom exams here—this course is all about getting in the water, gaining practical experience, and discovering what type of diving you love most. In the Maldives, you’ll put these new skills to use on pristine coral reefs, deep drop-offs, and vibrant sandy lagoons.

What You'll Experience

To earn your Advanced certification, you will complete five specialized adventure dives over 2 to 3 days. Two of these dives are core pillars of advanced diving, while the other three are electives tailored to your personal interests:

• Deep Diving (Required): Safely descend to a maximum depth of 30 meters (100 feet). Learn how to manage gas consumption, recognize the effects of depth, and unlock access to deeper reefs and wrecks.
• Underwater Navigation (Required): Master the use of a dive compass and natural navigation clues (like sand ripples and reef contours) to always find your way back to the boat.
