Dive with Undersea Hunter
The Cocos Island Liveaboard is one of the world’s most legendary dive expeditions. This 11‑day/10‑night adventure offers ~21 dives across pinnacles and seamounts surrounding Cocos Island, Costa Rica. Known as the “Island of Sharks,” Cocos delivers encounters with schooling hammerheads, white‑tip reef sharks, manta rays, whale sharks, and pelagic species in nutrient‑rich waters. Divers average three dives per day at depths of 18–30 meters, with Nitrox available. The vessel features spacious cabins, professional dive‑master service, and all meals included.
The journey begins with a transfer from San José to Puntarenas, followed by a 32–36 hour crossing to Cocos. Seven full days are spent diving the island’s perimeter, with sites like Bajo Alcyone, Dirty Rock, and Manuelita offering thrilling currents and shark action. Evenings are spent sharing stories, reviewing footage, and enjoying the camaraderie of fellow experienced divers. The expedition concludes with a return cruise to Costa Rica and transfer back to San José.
This trip is reserved for advanced divers with a minimum of 50 logged dives and Advanced Open Water certification. It’s ideal for those seeking bucket‑list encounters in one of the planet’s most biodiverse marine sanctuaries.
