Curious about the world of breath-hold diving? The Discovery / Intro Class is the ultimate starting point for anyone looking to experience the ocean on a deeper, more tranquil level. This comprehensive 4.5 to 5-hour experience is thoughtfully designed for absolute beginners. Whether you are already a confident swimmer or someone still building your comfort level in the open water, our instructors provide a highly supportive, pressure-free environment.
You will learn how your body adapts to the underwater world, unlock your natural breath-hold potential, and experience the pure freedom of moving underwater without heavy gear.

- Expert Instruction: Guided by certified, professional freediving instructors.
- Full Gear Rental: All necessary equipment is provided, including a low-volume mask, snorkel, long fins, weight belt, and weights.
- Theory & Practical Workshops: Classroom-style breakdown of breathing, equalization, and physics.
- Open-Water Session: Hands-on practice and line diving at the beautiful Club Kontiki dive site.

Itinerary
Itinerary
- 08:00 AM – Meet & Greet: Arrival at Club Kontiki. Quick registration, orientation, and gear fitting for the day.
- 08:30 AM – Theory & Land Session (~2 Hours):
- Introduction to the physics and physiology of freediving.
- Breathing Basics: Learning how to breathe efficiently before and after a dive.
- Equalization Workshop: Mastering the essential techniques to safely relieve ear pressure.
- Safety & Buddy Dynamics: Understanding how to look after yourself and your dive partner.
- 10:30 AM – Gear Up & Transition: Brief break to stretch, put on your wetsuit/fins, and prepare for the water.
- 11:00 AM – Open-Water Practice (~2.5 Hours):
- Ocean entry in a calm, shallow area to build comfort.
- Guided breathing and relaxation exercises at the surface.
- Practice duck dives, finning technique, and your very first line-assisted vertical descents.
- 01:30 PM – Water Exit & Debrief: Return to shore, rinse gear, and receive feedback from your instructor on your achievements.
