Elevate your skills with Octopus Dive's 2-day Rescue Diver course, designed for Advanced Open Water divers. This program teaches essential rescue techniques, emergency management, oxygen administration, and first aid. After 8-12 hours of eLearning, you'll spend two days practicing scenarios in pools, lakes, or Fitzroy Island reefs. Locations include calm Crater Lakes or vibrant coral sites. You'll also create emergency assistance plans and incident reports. All gear, certification, and ferry transfers are included. This course builds confidence, making you the ultimate dive buddy and preparing you for Divemaster training.

Itinerary

PADI eLearning:
Complete 8-12 hours of eLearning at your own pace.
First Aid Training:
To kickstart your first aid training, you'll need one day of classroom learning, unless you already hold a current certificate with up-to-date CPR. First Aid courses are at an extra cost.
With Your Instructor:
Spend 2 days in the water practicing rescue skills and emergency scenarios. You'll also create an emergency assistance plan and learn how to fill out incident reports. You'll start your training in a pool setting on day 1, following open water assessment performed at either the Crater Lakes National Park (Lake Barrine or Lake Eacham) for a current-free and gentle lake setting, surrounded by rainforest, or on the captivating Fitzroy Island, diving the stunning reefs of Far North Queensland.

Important

Suitable for divers with Advanced Open Water Diver certification (or hold a qualifying certification from another agency) age 16 years old or older. If you haven’t dived in over 12 months, a quick "Scuba Review" or Refresher session is required for your safety.

A completed Medical Statement is required. If any "Yes" answers are marked, a physician's written clearance is mandatory.
