Not only those qualities, but this current also makes it possible to do a DRIFT DIVING specialty course.
At drift diving specialty course, you would learn how to minimize your movement and let the current takes you at amazing sightseeing underwater, while tuning your buoyancy at amazing skills to not hit the coral reefs and enjoy the laziest dive of your life
You would only need to swim at critical moments and let the current take you to the animation of fishes. At this course we may add special skills such as Negative entry and or SMB deployment.

Itinerary
- 08:00 AM – Theory & Equipment Prep: Meet your instructor at Sanctum Dive to review your digital learning modules. You will participate in a dry workshop covering the deployment of a Surface Marker Buoy (SMB), buddy communication techniques in fast water, and specialized gas management rules.
- 09:15 AM – Training Dive 1: Core Navigation & Buoyancy: Head to a site with a mild to moderate current (such as Sental or Ped).
- Skills Mastered: Practice executing a seamless "negative entry" from a moving vessel—purging all air from your BCD before hitting the water to descend immediately with your buddy group. Once down, you will practice streamlining your body, maintaining strict spatial awareness, and deploying a signaling buoy from a depth of 5 meters.
- 10:45 AM – Surface Interval: Relax on the boat with fresh fruits and light snacks. Your instructor will conduct a briefing detailing how to read changing water columns, identify downcurrents, and safely navigate over deeper reef structures.
- 11:45 AM – Training Dive 2: Advanced Current Control: Move to a high-energy site along Nusa Penida’s northern coast (such as SD Point).
- Skills Mastered: Put your training into practice by riding a stronger current. You will focus on precise trim control, communicating effortlessly using specialized hand signals, managing a safe ascent line while drifting, and completing a multi-level drift profile.
- 01:15 PM – Logbooks & Graduation: Return to the shop to rinse your gear, log your maximum drift distances, and finalize your global Drift Diver registration.
