Course Itinerary (Half-Day / Dry Course)

• 9:00 – 10:30 | Digital Theory Review & Oxygen Physiology
  • Meet your SSI instructor at the dive center to review completed e-learning modules.
  • Cover essential Nitrox theory: benefits of enriched air, nitrox limits, calculating Equivalent Air Depths (EAD), managing oxygen exposure (CNS/OTU), and determining Maximum Operating Depths (MOD).
• 10:30 – 11:30 | Practical Gas Analysis & Cylinder Labeling
  • Hands-on workshop using a digital oxygen analyzer to test Nitrox tanks.
  • Practice verifying oxygen content, calculating MOD for specific mixes (up to 40% $O_2$), properly labeling Nitrox cylinders, and signing the dive store fill log.
• 11:30 – 12:00 | Computer Setup & Certification Finalization
  • Practice configuring personal dive computers for Enriched Air Nitrox (setting $O_2$ percentages and partial pressure limits).
  • Complete final exam review, process your official SSI Enriched Air Nitrox certification, and log your training.

Suitable for divers with Open Water Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another agency) age 16 (with Parental Consent) years old or older. If you haven’t dived in over 12 months, a quick "Scuba Review" or Refresher session is required for your safety.

Not suitable for pregnant women or anyone that has a history of certain medical conditions (especially those affecting the respiratory, circulatory, or nervous systems—e.g., severe asthma, epilepsy, recent major surgery, or heart conditions)

A completed Medical Statement is required. If any "Yes" answers are marked, a physician's written clearance is mandatory.
