The SSI Level 2 Advanced Freediving Course is a three‑day program for certified freedivers ready to progress. Participants learn advanced equalisation, freefall techniques, breathing and mental strategies, plus safety and rescue skills. Training includes pool sessions and three ocean depth sessions, with dives reaching up to 30 meters. The course also introduces structured training routines for long‑term freediving development.

Sessions are held at UNSW Aquatic Centre (pool) and The Spit, Mosman (open water), offering safe and controlled environments. With professional instructors and small groups, participants gain confidence and competence in deeper freediving. Certification is internationally recognized under SSI standards.

This course is ideal for freedivers seeking progression beyond Level 1, combining advanced skill development with Sydney’s coastal dive sites.

Suitable for divers with SSI Frediving Level 1 certification (or equivalent) age 16 years old or older. Participants must be comfortable with intermediate-level deep-diving principles prior to day one.

Not suitable for pregnant women or anyone that has a history of certain medical conditions (especially those affecting the respiratory, circulatory, or nervous systems—e.g., severe asthma, epilepsy, recent major surgery, or heart conditions)

A completed Medical Statement is required. If any "Yes" answers are marked, a physician's written clearance is mandatory.
