Dive with Sharm Divers Club
Prepare for the dive of a lifetime. We are taking you to the SS Thistlegorm, widely recognized as one of the top wreck dives on the planet. This isn't just a dive; it is a journey back to 1941.
Sunk by a German bomber during World War II, this British armed Merchant Navy ship sits upright on the seabed, perfectly frozen in time. It is an eerie, magnificent underwater playground where history meets a thriving marine ecosystem.
The Thistlegorm is legendary for its cargo, which remains remarkably intact. Over the course of two guided dives, you will explore:
- The Cargo Holds: Swim past rows of Bedford trucks, endless stacks of rifles, Wellington boots, and the iconic Norton 16H motorcycles that still sit in the back of the lorries.
- The Decks: See the two steam locomotives that were blown off the deck during the explosion and now rest on the sea floor like sleeping giants.
- The Marine Life: The wreck has become an artificial reef. Expect to be surrounded by massive schools of trevally, batfish, and barracuda patrolling the anti-aircraft guns.
