Dive with Shark Bay Eco Tours
Dive Shark Bay is a full‑day double dive experience at Steep Point and Dirk Hartog Island, two of Western Australia’s most iconic dive sites. Known for their rich biodiversity, these sites offer encounters with reef sharks, rays, turtles, and schools of pelagic fish. The clear waters and dramatic underwater landscapes make every dive unforgettable.
Shark Bay is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, recognized for its ecological significance and marine diversity. The region is home to dolphins, dugongs, and seasonal whales, making it one of Australia’s most remarkable marine environments. Diving here provides not only adventure but also a deeper appreciation of the natural world.
This program includes two guided dives, lunch, and optional gear hire. It’s ideal for certified divers seeking a comprehensive day of exploration. With professional PADI instructors and small group sizes, safety and enjoyment are guaranteed. Dive Shark Bay combines adventure, biodiversity, and cultural immersion, making it one of the most rewarding dive experiences in Western Australia.

7:45am – Meet at Denham Commercial Jetty
Arrive at the Denham Commercial Jetty for check-in. Your Shark Bay scuba diving day begins with a safety briefing and an overview of the plan for the day.
8:00am – Depart Denham aboard Woomerangee
Cruise out on Woomerangee, our comfortable, purpose-built dive vessel (11m power catamaran) with small groups of 5–10 divers. The journey to the Steep Point region takes around 1.5 hours. While the Steep Point dive sites are preferred, if the sits are inaccessible we may choose to go to another destination.
On the way – Local briefing & wildlife spotting
On the way out to the dive sites, you’ll have some morning tea, then gear will be distributed and set up. As a bonus you’ll often spot wildlife along the way, however we leave the wildlife spotting to the return trip if we have time.
Dive 1 (Roughly 10am)
Your first dive explores the reefs and underwater formations of Steep Point. Expect clear water, coral gardens, caves and swim-throughs, with the chance to see sharks, rays and turtles.
Surface Interval
During the 60 minute surface interval we travel out to Steep Point (if applicable) to see Australia’s most western point, then we change tanks over and get ready for the second dive.
Dive 2 (Roughly 12pm)
Head back in for your second dive, maximising your time underwater in one of Western Australia’s most remote and spectacular dive locations.
Lunch (Roughly 1pm)
After the dives are complete we head back into the sheltered waters to have lunch, if weather permits you can jump in for a snorkel at one of our favourite locations or we’ll cruise in search of wildlife.
Return to Denham – Arrive around 3/3:30pm
After lunch we pick up the pace and make are way back to Denham for a 3/3:30pm arrival.
