Phase 1: Digital E-Learning (Prior to Workshop)

• Complete the online SDI Nitrox Diver e-Learning modules and knowledge reviews at your own pace before attending the practical session.

Phase 2: In-Person Practical & Theory Workshop (Approx. 2–3 Hours)

  • Meet your SDI Instructor at the dive shop to review completed e-learning modules.
  • Discuss the physiological benefits of diving with nitrox, extended bottom times, partial pressure limits ($P O_2$), and avoiding central nervous system (CNS) oxygen toxicity.
• 01:00 – 02:00 | Practical Gas Analysis & Cylinder Tagging
  • Calibrate a digital oxygen analyzer and test gas contents in enriched air cylinders.
  • Calculate Maximum Operating Depth (MOD) based on analyzed oxygen percentages, fill out cylinder contents decals, and sign the official station fill log.
• 02:00 – 02:30 | Dive Computer Setup & Certification Finalization
  • Program dive computers to match analyzed nitrox mixes and configure custom $P O_2$ alarm thresholds.
  • Complete final instructor review and process your official SDI Enriched Air Nitrox Diver digital certification.

Suitable for divers with Open Water Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another agency) age 16 (with Parental Consent) years old or older. If you haven’t dived in over 12 months, a quick "Scuba Review" or Refresher session is required for your safety.
