Designed for certified Open Water divers looking to expand their skills, increase their maximum depth limit to 30 meters, and gain confidence in a variety of diving environments, this hands-on program combines core adventure dives at one of Australia’s premier marine hotspots.
Over two days, you will complete five adventure dives at Wolf Rock—famous for its dramatic underwater pinnacles, Grey Nurse Shark aggregation, manta rays, and abundant pelagic marine life.
What You Will Learn & Practice
- Deep Diving Techniques: Learn how to plan and safely execute dives down to 30 meters, managing gas consumption and understanding depth-related physiological effects.
- Underwater Navigation: Master compass navigation techniques, natural navigation, distance estimation, and underwater kick-cycle tracking.
- Specialty Adventure Dives: Complete three additional elective adventure dives tailored to local conditions (such as Fish Identification, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Boat Diving, or Naturalist).

- Phase 1: Digital E-Learning (Prior to Arrival)
- Complete the 5 selected Adventure Dive knowledge reviews on the PADI e-Learning platform before attending the practical sessions.
- Day 1: Orientation & Adventure Dives 1–3 (Wolf Rock)
- Morning: Meet at the Rainbow Beach shop for gear check, sizing, and instructor briefing on dive plans and navigation exercises.
- Mid-Day / Afternoon: Board the boat to Wolf Rock Marine Park for your first 3 Adventure Dives:
- Dive 1:Peak Performance Buoyancy – Fine-tune trim, weighting, and hovering skills.
- Dive 2:Underwater Navigation – Practice compass lines, reciprocal courses, and natural landmark tracking.
- Dive 3:Elective Dive (e.g., Boat / Drift / Fish ID) – Explore Wolf Rock's pinnacles and marine life.
- Evening: Surface interval debrief and logbook sign-offs.
- Day 2: Deep Dive, Final Adventure Dive & Certification
- Morning / Mid-Day: Depart for your second offshore charter at Wolf Rock:
- Dive 4:Deep Adventure Dive (Max 30m / 100ft) – Plan and execute a deep dive along the pinnacles, managing gas supply, depth limits, and pressure effects.
- Dive 5:Final Elective Adventure Dive – Complete remaining practical objectives among grey nurse sharks and pelagic species.
- Afternoon: Return to Rainbow Beach, wash gear, review dive logs, and finalize your PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification.
- Morning / Mid-Day: Depart for your second offshore charter at Wolf Rock:
