The Racha Yai Scuba Diving Daytrip is an all-inclusive ocean excursion that takes you to Racha Yai Island, located just a 60-minute boat ride south of Phuket. Known for its clear waters and excellent 20- to 30-meter visibility year-round, Racha Yai is highly regarded as an ideal location for beginners, dive courses, and those looking to refresh their skills. At the same time, its underwater topography—featuring a collection of artificial reefs, a small shipwreck, and two buried under water scooters—offers plenty of exciting macro life and photography spots for experienced divers.
The trip takes place aboard Sea Bees’ comfortable 23-meter dive boat, Excalibur II, which features a spacious layout, a covered sundeck, and an on-board scuba bar. This day trip accommodates certified scuba divers, non-diving snorkelers, and introductory (non-certified) divers alike.
This daytrip is ideal for beginners, courses and to refresh your skills, but also offers special critters for more experienced divers. Non-certified individuals who want to dive must book the Introductory Diver option to be accompanied step-by-step by an instructor.

The schedule is subject to minor adjustments based on hotel location and sea conditions.
- 08:00 AM – 08:15 AM: Morning pick-up from your Phuket hotel by minibus, transferring you safely to the Sea Bees diving base near Chalong Pier (the ideal starting hub for local diving).
- Morning Departure: Brief check-in at the base, followed by a short transfer to the Excalibur II boat. Sail toward Racha Yai Island (approximately a 1-hour cruise). A freshly prepared breakfast is served on board.
- Dive 1: Arrive at Racha Yai (typically around Bay 1/2 or Staghorn Reef, which is naturally shielded from wind and waves). Detailed dive and safety briefing, followed by the first dive.
- Surface Interval: A relaxed 90-minute break. A freshly cooked Thai lunch is served on board. Time to sunbathe on the covered sundeck or chat at the bar.
- Dive 2: Second dive at another selected reef or wreck structure around the island.
- Mid-Afternoon: Relaxing cruise back to Chalong Pier. Enjoy a post-dive beverage at the scuba bar.
- Late Afternoon: Transfer via minibus back to your hotel.

Non-divers may take part in this dive by adding an Introductory Scuba Diving Course to be accompanied step-by-step by an instructor.
