Charter Local Dive Khaolak's own speedboat for your group and head west from Khao Lak to the Similan Islands for two guided dives around Islands 5 and 7. The price covers the whole boat for up to 16 guests, with hotel pickup in the Khao Lak zone, lunch on board and one local guide for every four divers.
The Similans are granite islands whose boulders tumble from white beaches into clear blue water, leaving swim-throughs, overhangs and channels to drift between. Hawksbill turtles graze the hard coral, fusiliers stream past the rocks and moray eels watch from the gaps. With only your group on board, the guides can match each dive to the divers in front of them.

08:00: Paperwork, gear fitting and safety briefing at the pier.
Morning: Speedboat crossing to the Similan Islands, then the first guided dive after the site briefing.
Midday: Surface interval with lunch, fruit and soft drinks on board.
Afternoon: Second guided dive in the Similan Islands.
Late afternoon: Back at the pier, then the van returns you to your hotel.
Total trip time is about 9 hours. The guide chooses the sites and dive order on the day according to conditions.

Requirements
- Open Water certification or higher (PADI, SSI or equivalent) is required. Not suitable for non-certified divers or guests who cannot swim.
- Minimum age 10 with a Junior Open Water certification.
- Divers who have not dived in 12 months or more must tell us when booking; a refresher can be arranged on request.
- A standard scuba diving medical statement form must be signed prior to diving. Responding 'yes' to any medical issues within will require clearance from a physician.
- Do not fly within 18 hours of your last dive.
- Booking closes 10 hours before departure.
Mandatory fees (paid in cash at the park on the day)
- National park fee, foreign visitors: diver $22 (700 THB), non-diver $15 (500 THB), child 5 to 13 years $8 (250 THB)
- National park fee, Thai nationals: diver $9 (300 THB), non-diver $3 (100 THB), child $2 (50 THB)

- Full rental equipment set, excluding dive computer: $15 (500 THB) per person per day
- Dive computer: $8 (250 THB) per day
- Dive light: $8 (250 THB) per day
- 15-litre tank: $8 (250 THB) per tank
- Nitrox: $9 (300 THB) per tank, Nitrox certification required
- Private 1:1 dive guide: $92 (3,000 THB), on request
