A full day of three slow dives on the sand, rubble and wreck sites along the Khao Lak coast, run by Local Dive Khaolak on request for a maximum of four divers. Sites include Boonsung Wreck, Wreck Park T.13, Thai Muang and Khao Na Yak, chosen on the day to suit conditions.
Muck diving rewards patience. Your guide finns slowly over the sand, stops at a sponge or a tangle of debris and points: a frogfish the same colour as the sponge it sits on, a nudibranch smaller than a fingernail, a seahorse tail wrapped around a sea whip. With only four divers in the water, there is time to wait for a photo to come right.

08:00: Paperwork, gear fitting and briefing, then the boat leaves the pier.
Morning: First guided macro dive.
Late morning: Second guided macro dive.
Midday: Surface interval with lunch and soft drinks on board.
Afternoon: Third guided macro dive.
Late afternoon: Back at the pier, then the van returns you to your hotel.
The guide chooses the three sites on the day according to conditions.

Requirements
- Open Water certification or higher (PADI, SSI or equivalent) is required. Not suitable for non-certified divers.
- Minimum age 10 with a Junior Open Water certification.
- Good buoyancy control is needed to stay off the sand and marine life.
- Divers who have not dived in 12 months or more must complete a refresher, available on request.
- A standard scuba diving medical statement form must be signed prior to diving. Responding 'yes' to any medical issues within will require clearance from a physician.
- Not suitable during pregnancy.
- Runs on request: booking confirmed once the partner confirms the date.
