Dive with Atao Diving
Discover a full day at sea aboard in a small group departing from Grande Anse d’Arlet. This excursion combines a scuba diving introduction, snorkeling on coral reefs, sea turtle watching, relaxation in the coves of southern Martinique, and access to paddleboards and the water playground.
Benefit from professional and personalized supervision with experienced instructors! We put ourselves at your pace, in a friendly atmosphere. Between a person who can't swim, a child, an experienced freediver or a person phobic of water, everyone will experience a different baptism. We adapt our baptisms to each person, in compliance with safety rules. We take the time with everyone, hence the fact that we offer outings in small groups (max 10 – 12 people) and on full days from 8:30 am to 4 pm.
You can decide on the day if you want to do a scuba diving baptism. It is an option that can be decided on the spot, at the "last minute", according to your desires of the day. Our team's goal is the pleasure and joy of sharing, not performance!
Will you encounter a turtle during your first scuba dive?
Yes, it's absolutely possible to scuba dive with a turtle! Anses d'Arlet and Trois-Îlets are frequented by turtles, especially green ones. It can happen, but it's not guaranteed. On the coral reefs, you'll mostly see small and medium-sized turtles.
On the afternoon site (usually the back part of the village of Anses d'Arlet), you can observe turtles of all sizes, feeding on the herbarium made up of "turtle grass" (Thalassia testudinum), a very nutritious plant for our turtles.
