Jemeluk Bay & Wall (Amed) – Dives 1 & 2:
Ideal for your first dives in the open water. You’ll become familiar with the environment while admiring coral statues, an underwater temple, and abundant marine life. These progressive dives will help you gain confidence.
U.S.A.T. Liberty Wreck (Tulamben) – Dives 5 & 6:
Explore one of the most accessible and biodiverse wrecks in the world! This unique experience will immerse you in history while discovering breathtaking marine life on a black volcanic sand bottom.
Coral Garden or Seraya Secrets (Tulamben) – Dives 3 & 4:
End your training in style on vibrant coral reefs or famous macro sites. The perfect opportunity to practice your skills and admire fascinating creatures, from colorful nudibranchs to leaffish, and maybe even spot turtles or reef sharks!

Day 1: Pool Foundations & First Ocean Breaths (Dives 1 & 2)
- 07:30 AM – Gear Fitting & Orientation: Meet your instructor at the dive center, review your digital theory completion metrics, and get fitted for your equipment.
- 08:30 AM – Confined Water Skill Clinic: Enter the training pool to master critical safety controls—including regulator recovery, mask clearing, alternate air source deployment, and initial buoyancy positioning.
- 12:00 PM – Lunch Break & Briefing: A quick midday break and briefing for your first open-water transitions.
- 01:00 PM – Dives 1 & 2: Jemeluk Bay & Wall (Max 12m): Enter from the gentle beach slope. Dive 1 focuses on adapting to the real ocean environment. Dive 2 introduces shallow-water skill validation before taking you on a guided tour of the submerged coral statues and underwater temple.
- 04:30 PM – Day 1 Debrief: Return to the shop, rinse your equipment, and log your initial metrics.
Day 2: Depth Progression & Macro Discovery (Dives 3 & 4)
- 08:00 AM – Tulamben Marine Transit: Board the air-conditioned transport vehicle for a 20-minute coastal drive to the volcanic black sands of Tulamben.
- 09:00 AM – Dive 3: Coral Garden or Seraya Secrets (Max 18m): Execute your first deep descent down to 18 meters along a rich reef slope. Focus on precision buoyancy control and swimming trim.
- 11:00 AM – Surface Interval & Conservation Briefing: Relax on the shore while reviewing marine conservation principles and identifying local aquatic life.
- 12:30 PM – Dive 4: Advanced Skills & Navigation (Max 18m): Complete your remaining mandatory agency skills, followed by a practical underwater navigation exercise utilizing both a compass and natural topography landmarks.
- 03:00 PM – Logbook Processing: Return to the dive center to log your metrics and plan the final shipwreck profiles.
Day 3: The Shipwreck Finale & Graduation (Dives 5 & 6)
- 08:00 AM – Advanced Briefing: Travel back to Tulamben, preparing specifically for overhead safety awareness and wreck navigation at the foot of Mount Agung.
- 09:15 AM – Dive 5: USAT Liberty Wreck Exploration (Max 18m): Walk directly from the beach into history. Navigate around the massive, coral-encrusted World War II hull alongside schooling jacks, resident sea turtles, and giant Napoleon wrasse.
- 11:15 AM – Final Safety Review: A relaxed surface interval on the beach to cross-reference your marine sightings and map your final checkout dive.
- 12:30 PM – Dive 6: Graduation & Celebration (Max 18m): Your final evaluation dive. Once your remaining self-reliance skills are fully verified by your instructor, the dive transitions into a celebratory tour through the shallow sections of the wreck.
- 02:30 PM – Certification Ceremony: Return to the center, finalize your digital registration paperwork, and graduate as a globally recognized Open Water Diver!
