The Rescue Diver course is one of the most challenging and rewarding scuba diving courses. It prepares you to anticipate, prevent, and manage problems and emergencies, both for yourself and for other divers. While many Rescue Diver courses consist of 3 or 4 open water dives, some may include additional sessions, for a total of 5 dives, allowing for more in-depth practice.

- Recognize and manage stress in divers.
- Intervene in cases of panic or distress in a diver.
- Manage minor and major emergencies.
- Perform self-rescues.
- Implement procedures for searching for missing divers.
- Assist an unconscious diver on the surface and underwater.
- Administer first aid and emergency oxygen.
- Develop a diving emergency plan.
